I visited the beautiful Jerónimos Monastery while in Lisbon.

The Church of Sta. Maria, which is free to enter, was super busy so I skipped past it on arrival and bought a ticket to see the cloisters and this room, the High Choir, which looks out over the church area.

To my immediate left, and echoing pretty much every church I seem to have visited this year, was a large set of scaffold so I had to compose this image in a different way to what I had originally envisaged in order to crop it out of the scene.
