I was on my way to breakfast after seeing a sunrise by the Little Mermaid statue when I passed this scene. The Marble Church looks great internally and externally, but with the golden light from the rising sun on it it’s pretty awesome.
I grabbed this image and then had breakfast before returning to the church a few hours later to go inside. At that time I was very fortunate with the position of the sun as it was shining through 3 very particular windows which cast a ray of sunshine in the shape of a cross across the altar. The lady inside the church was very enthused to tell me this, as I was the first visitor of the day and it is not very often that it happens as the conditions have to be just right.
While processing the image I decided to add a blur to really make the viewer focus on the church and not be distracted by the sides of each image, especially with a couple of signs at the front.
It looked great last night, but now I’m not so sure.
