It’s fun for me to look at this image and count up the number of floors of the tower you see at the right; I’m doing so in an attempt to estimate where I stood under construction when I visited it for a few photos on a couple of occasions (see https://www.murphyz.co.uk/2011/11/21/caught-in-the-act/).
This is also the building that was under construction when a helicopter hit the main crane running up the side of the building. A sad and unfortunate incident that I believe killed a couple of people, the pilot and a victim on the ground.
A couple of years later and it’s simply standing here, shining in the sun and overshadowing the buildings around it, completely oblivious to what has happened in the past.
I wonder if there is a commemorative plaque of any sort in the building to remember those who were killed in that tragedy?
