This is Kamppi Chapel.
No…not that bit, they’re stairs. I mean that odd shaped structure over to the left a bit. There you go. That, is Kamppi Chapel.
Set in one of the busiest parts of Helsinki it is designed to be a place of calm and quiet, and it does a remarkable job of ensuring noises from the outside do not penetrate in through the wooden walls.
It is not so good at ensuring sounds made on the inside do not emit a disproportionately loud noise, so when I rested my camera bag on the wall and it suddenly fell over on the tripod side it meant that all eyes were suddenly on me and not on Jesus.
Actually, there was no Jesus in there, but it ended my last sentence better than ‘on the plain wooden walls ahead of them’.
Have a great weekend everyone.
