Conciergerie

I really enjoyed the Conciergerie in Paris.

With it being a former prison, dark, cool, and featuring some wonderful architecture – what’s not to like?

This shot is looking through the main hall towards a set of stairs leading to the exit. Yes, out to the daylight and sunshine. Stupid sunshine.

I think the most famous prisoner held here was Marie Antoinette, prisoner number 280. That’s all I really learnt while I was visiting here…but that’s because I was busy taking photos.

Hope everyone has a great weekend 🙂
