I took this image from the High Line on my last trip to New York. It’s a great stretch of land which makes use of an old bit of train track that ran over the city and is now a lovely walkway that allows you to escape from hectic city below. It’s got some nice garden-like areas, seating, art installations – but best of all no cars or traffic lights. Down below you end up having to stop at lights with every block you walk across, but with the High Line you can simply walk for ten blocks, possibly more, with no interruption.
If you are in New York and haven’t been make sure to check it out.
