Just as the sun was setting, Lindisfarne castle was cast in a lovely golden light which lasted for a long enough period of time to both enjoy it, and to capture this image.
I was pretty far away from the castle at this point, so the image you see here is zoomed in at 200mm. I’ll share the view in the other direction sometime next week, it’s of a priory and the sun setting behind it.
My favourite aspect of this scene are the sheep which are grazing in the sun on the hill that leads up to the castle. If you enjoy eating grass then it’s probably not too bad a life standing around doing so with such a lovely view all around you.
Speaking of an okay life, today I’m heading out to Singapore for a long work week, but that will be followed up with a jaunt across to the Philippines and then a week travelling around Japan. I’m going to schedule posts on this blog for the next two weeks, and I should hopefully find some time to push some of these out to the social media sites at some stage or other.
