Welcome to The Long Room, which can be found in Trinity College Dublin. It’s the main chamber of the Old Library and is a lot longer than you see in this image here, which is about one third of the total length of the room.
It’s a beautiful looking room and very photogenic. However, as with many things of this nature, it’s also pretty busy with more than just us photographers wanting to have a look. I would certainly recommend getting there very early in the day and attempting to be the first one up there if you wish to take photos without any people in them.
I have been in several libraries to take photos, and it continues to amaze me how awe inspiring some of them can be. I’m a fan of things like the Kindle but do hope books never disappear.
