I wandered off to Dublin, Ireland for the weekend to meet up with Jim Nix, take a few photos, and drink more than a few Guinness.
I had a lovely time, and on Monday morning with a sore head (obviously from something I ate…ahem), I rushed out of the hotel to head over to Kilmainham Jail for the first tour of the day, hoping that time slot would be the least busy. I had seen an image of a metal staircase in the central cell area that I wanted to take a photo of, and doing it without any people in there was my aim.
As you can see from this image, I succeeded in my task. Hurrah.
I didn’t take many other images on the tour due to people getting in the way, and the tour guide obviously being on a strict deadline to meet his daily quota of tours so couldn’t lag behind for fear he was going to simply lock me in one of the cells for the rest of the day.
Pleased with this one though.
