I think this is a Lancet Arch, but I’m not too sure. I think most Lancet arches are attached to buildings, but this one was quite old and appears to have fallen down. Yet, an arch is an arch so perhaps it’s still one of them.

If you have a keen eye and can look beyond, but not through, the arch then you may notice Scotney Castle in the background. If you are a regular reader and remember my post of that location from the other day, you may also remember that I wasn’t sure if this was the actual castle or not, so what with that and my being uncertain of the kind of arch this is it seems the whole area is one of uncertainty for me.

Luckily I’ve only got one more image from this location to post for now, so hopefully that one will be straightforward for me to identify what the heck it is. We’ll see…
