A long exposure to finish off a long week.

This looks like a very tranquil place, but it was far from it while I was there. This was the lat exposure I took of the night as it was starting to get quite dark in reality.

It would have been great had I been relaxing, sat on a rock as I look out to the beautiful scenery around me. Alas, no.

Instead it was a pretty warm night, and after walking out into the lake a little bit to place my tripod in the water I had retreated away from the water to some trees further inland and wrapped myself in my hoodie which was pulled as tight as could be over my face letting as little skin as possible show; indeed I think it was only my glasses which were really visible.

It didn’t seem to stop the bugs from finding somewhere to land on me, and some of them to bite. It was horrid. Millions of the pesky little flies swarming around us and no amount of bug spray seemed to deter them.

I was thankful when I had finished for the night and could retire back to the tent where only a few hundred of them seemed to remain.

Have a great weekend everyone.
