Lakeside

I like routine. I normally get into work early where I can check emails, grab coffee, and post my blog update for the day if I haven’t scheduled it already. Today I managed to instead get swamped, so checked emails and grabbed coffee okay, but then have been pretty flat out for the last 4 hours so didn’t manage to update the photoblog, until now.

Not sure if I will do a week in Wales for my images this week, but following on from yesterday’s waterfall image we are heading back there now and to a lovely little lake that was the setting for our campsite on my final night in Wales earlier this year. The first trip there anyway.

Unlike some of the other lakeside campsites we were in this one didn’t have too many nasty bugs at the water’s edge attempting to eat us alive. Instead, it had a few flustered ducks that were attempting to sleep; you can see them huddled on the beach at the op of the frame. I say flustered, as off camera to the left where the main campsite was were a lot of children screaming and shouting and having fun. How very dare they. I think the ducks were happy when it became too dark on the lake to play and everyone went back to their tents for the evening.

Meanwhile, is it Friday yet?
