I’ve seen numerous versions of this scene from photographers in London over the past year or so, but though I’ve walked past and looked at it multiple times I’ve never taken the effort to set up the tripod previously, unless this trip a couple of weeks ago of course.
One of the features I really like about the Sony NEX-7 is the flip out live view screen it has. I was able to place my tripod quite low to the ground, have the camera point straight up, and use the screen to see what the composition was like without having to lie flat on my back to do so.
This is a great feature for someone as lazy as myself.
I sharpened the image in post and then desaturated it before applying a couple of OnOne filters (namely cyberpunk and urban sickness).
