This is the same waterfall in Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales, that I featured a couple of weeks ago…it’s just a slightly different angle with different processing on a different day.

This trail which I walked on my first trip to Wales in July was my favourite part of the trip, and so I was happy to revisit it when I went back to South Wales this weekend. The weather conditions were certainly much improved over my previous trip, and as we arrived in the morning it was also nice and quiet with the majority of people only arriving as we were leaving.

This exposure was just over a minute long with the 10 stop filter. I’ve been using that filter a lot recently and it’s made me wish that I had similar for the 14mm; I’m going to have to look into my options I think.

  • Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark II
  • Focal length: 24mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 74s

  1. Another great one here. Love whatever that is in the water that creates the leading lines taking me to the falls.

    1. The sun was really harsh on the scene so I tried to shoot when it disappeared behind a cloud. It popped out of the cloud part way through the exposure, so the stuff you see is the sun reflecting on the moving water, but not for the full exposure. I love how it turned out 🙂
