After watching a sunset while on a beautiful beach on Friday night, I hadn’t really expected to be taking any more images. However, while my friends decided to take ‘one more shot’ in the way that photographers our in a group always do, I headed back up to the top of the cliffs so I could wait by the car.
Immediately in front of the car was this phone box, which I have normally only ever seen by day. I loved the way the soft last was glowing from within and casting light on the floor immediately around it, so I took a few images from various angles – this being my favourite.
Though pretty dark to the eye, the camera picked up a lot of the blue still in the sky. In an image such as this I decided HDR was very much not the way to go, and so this is a single exposure from the NEX-7.
