The stranger on the lake

As we’re in the middle of a heat wave I hadn’t packed for cold weather for my Wales trip. All I had in my bag were t-shirts, and I didn’t have a care for what the weather may do, if it was going to be different at night time or if it may turn wet. During a last minute supermarket trip where we were stocking up on food rations I grabbed a hoodie though…just in case.

I’m glad I did. Not because i took this shot wearing it, and not because I needed it for the cold, but because – in this location especially, it helped to protect me from the millions of insects that were attempting to feast on me. Covering my arms and pulling the hood tight around me wasn’t the most comfortable thing to do in the heat we had, but it was very much needed for the purpose of self preservation.

I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend. Are you doing anything?
