The 50mm prime is a beautiful lens.
It’s so small, and simple, and awesome.
One of the great things it has is depth of field, so when I focused on these flowers it created great bokeh. It looks kind of like a painting here. In fact, it really looked like I had managed to hit a preset on a filter somewhere during processing that gave it a painterly effect, so I had to go back to the original just to see how much it had changed.
Here’s the original should you wish to see it 🙂
This is a scheduled post while I’m driving around Wales taking awesome photos.
- Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark II
- Focal length: 50mm
- ISO: 160
- Shutter speed: 1/160s
I’m a big fan of the 50 for that very reason! Beautifully done!
