Tiergarten Path

On a wet day in Berlin, there wasn’t much photography to be had.

There was a lot of getting wet, and attempting to stay huddled under the brolly, but little photography.

However, while walking through the urban park around the Tiergarten area, I saw this lovely scene and decided to get the camera out of the bag to shoot it. I even had to change lenses from the 14mm to something a little better for the scene, so I went from super lazy to actually doing quite a bit to get this image.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I booked flights to Vienna for the weekend after next so will likely be driving around Slovakia for a few days; I obviously want to see Bratislava but feel most of the time will be spent in the Tatra mountains.

  • Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark II
  • Focal length: 51mm
  • ISO: 320
  • Shutter speed: 1/25s

  1. A beautiful scene despite the atrocious weather that we read as hit central europe

    1. Thanks Len. It has been pretty rainy, but I’ve been chasing the sun around Europe where possible (even though I don’t like it too hot) so have been able to get away from the rain for most trips. My weekend in Berlin was booked ages ago and was more for social than photographs, so I couldn’t do a last minute booking based on weather for this particular trip 🙂
