On Sunday I went to a village fete in Jevington. Highlights included a dog show and ferret roulette, but the real star was this lovely hog which was slowly being roasted. I ended up having my fill twice with a few nice local beers for lunch, and it was delicious.
Once the hog had come off the roast and before it was beheaded and sliced up, I quickly set up for this shot. I only had a 15 second window, so was happy to find my composition had everything I wanted on my first attempt; the head, the knife, and the lovely shadows. It was really bright that day and the sun was directly behind the pig, so I love how the shadow of his head appears on the wood.
This takes the creep-cake man. The look of it and everything. yeesh!
… Id still eat’m though…
Hog roast, been a while since I ate one, it is delicious!
