On the rocks

It’s Friday at long last.

That means we’re moving into the weekend, and also that this is the final image in my week long theme of long exposures of moving water. It’s been a fun week and I’m pretty pleased that I’ve been able to still give a nice variety of images, even though they are similar in nature.

This is Hareshaw Linn waterfall, which is a beautiful spot and was well worth the nice hike up to it, and the final clamber over a fallen tree to get to.

I was standing on this spot taking this very shot when out of the corner of my eye I saw a couple who had just got to the falls. He fell to one knee, and proposed to his girlfriend in front of this lovely scene, and in front of us.

Now, the title of this post is ‘On the rocks’ which some people could use to describe a relationship. The one before us, however, seems pretty steady, as she accepted the proposal, and looked delighted about it.

I wish them both the best of luck for the future, and I wish all of you a great weekend.
