Last time I was in New York I was told off by a couple of law enforcement officers when I attempted to get to this spot as I was there for sunrise which was before 6am. Returning in January, however, meant I was happily able to get there for sunrise without issue – as that didn’t happen until 7.15 in the morning. Not that it was a great sunrise, certainly nicer the last time I was there, but at least I got to the spot I wanted to this time.
This seems like a popular spot for photographers visiting New York. I’ve seen a lot of images from here over the past couple of years. I can see why though, it’s got quite a lot to offer.
After shooting here I walked over Brooklyn Bridge, up the East side through Chinatown and Alphabet City, and then back up to my flat at Times Sq. It was a long walk, but I stopped for breakfast and coffee on the way, and got to see some nice places I hadn’t visited previously.
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.
