Milky Way over Mushroom Rock

A return trip to the Wadi Rum desert, and a rock apparently shaped like a mushroom, from certain angles, that our Bedouin guide drove us to in the middle of the night. It must have been odd for him to be driving around the desert at night with three photographers, all of us pushing him to find us the next nice location, yet not allowing him to sit at such a location with any lights on at all. After trying to pose for photos in some of the images he finally decided the best course of action was to sit in the jeep playing on his iPhone.

The Milky Way wasn’t wonderfully visible here and there was plenty of light pollution, but I didn’t have time to try and do a star trail image.

Friday at last, and tonight we have our Christmas party, which probably means I’ll be hibernating over the weekend. Have a great day, and a lovely weekend 🙂
