Follow the leader

I used three exposures to create this image.

On my way home one night last year I was wandering around a tube station, drunk. Another drunkard was ahead of me, so I took a few photos of him as he went up the stairs me, and this is what the result was.

At this point in time I hadn’t really used or got to grips with the NEX-7, so I was randomly hitting buttons. I know I didn’t like using it handheld in low light conditions, which is why this image is in ISO 16,000 and, thus, a little bit noisy. For a set of three handheld shots they were remarkably steady though, and so it was easy to stitch this together in post.

As well as the NEX-7, I also had a few friends with me, and as we had missed the last train we decided to get lost in the station, which is easily done when drunk and the station is empty – especially when the gates that are pulled shut to stop you from walking around aren’t actually locked. The fun didn’t last too long due to the security cameras, but it was fun none the less.

Have a great weekend all.
