This image seems to me like it was taken eons ago, but in fact it was just on Friday night. I headed down to the South Coast of England at the end of last week and spent the weekend checking out local scenery and shows, and making a long hike to Beachy Head lighthouse in a failed sunrise trip (more on that later this week, I’m sure).
I also bought the 55-210mm lens for the Sony NEX-7 and used that as my primary camera over the weekend as I’m still trying to get to the stage where I can rely on it as the only camera on a trip, and so to do that I need to figure out the intricacies of that compared to the Canon.
It was a nice sunset on Friday night, and this image is from the tail end of it. I admit that I did simply stand and admire it for the most part as I was busy trying out long exposures on the NEX-7 using a couple of 9 stop ND filters…and not seeming to get it right. Black glass seems more lie black magic to me at times.
The title of this image comes from the fact there are two starfish in the scene.
