Welsh Valley

I hope everyone had a nice weekend.

If you remember my shot from Friday, then the lake it was taken on is visible in this image. It’s also where we set up camp for the night.

This shot was taken from a ‘viewpoint’ spot that you can often find along the roadside. After seeing a signpost for such a spot you often have a limited window of time before you decide whether or not to pull in, and that can often be swayed by the number of people you see there already admiring the view. There were a few people at this spot when we arrived so we pulled in, and although the view isn’t the most spectacular, we still ended up revisiting it a few times – pretty much every time we drove passed it – in an attempt to capture it with semi-decent light. It never quite happened how I envisaged it should.

So I resulted to processing using a selection of filters, of course.
