What a glorious scene this was to stumble upon during a country walk on a sunny day. This barn had sheep all around it, some of them basking in the sun and some of them laying in the shade.
As I approached, camera in hand, this one woke from his slumber and stood up so that he could be fully prepared to run away – this is exactly what he did 5 seconds and 5 steps after this image was taken. I’m pleased that I managed to snap this shot while it was under the window and before he ran away, as I think it’s a lovely scene.
I then spent 3 minutes seemingly chasing the sheep around the barn, disturbing every last one of them, as I tried to get a few more images of some of the others. I would like to offer this post as a public apology to all of the sheep that I made move on this day.
