Buckingham Palace

On Friday I left you with an image of a pond with Buckingham Palace in the background. Today we continue on that photocrawl that I was out on, and we arrive at the palace itself.

It’s not always this quiet in front of this place. there are often a load of people standing by these gates attempting to get photos. This night was quieter than I normally see it, however, and so I was able to set up for a couple of long exposures which I then masked together to get rid of the people, or the faint ghosts of people in the image.

The only thing I didn’t get rid of were the shadows from myself and the tripod due to a few huge light behind me. On the plus side, they make me look taller than I am. My legs look really long in the shadows.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.
