Palace pond

This is a pond within St James’s royal park, with Buckingham Palace in the background.

It’s where the queen lives, however the flag flying at full mast that you can see indicates she is not home.

How annoying it must be to display when you are and are not in. There’s no way to hide from the in-laws or such if you have to advertise exactly when you are in the house. I suppose it’s a big place though, so if Charles and Camilla did pop around unexpectedly I imagine Her Majesty could probably have a very effective game of hide and seek going and avoid them for at least 42 minutes.

Taking this image was not fun, as the pond area was full of annoying insects swarming around in their thousands. Very frustrating, and so we quickly left the scene.

Have a great weekend everyone.
