Back to New York for a brief spell today, and another shot of the Statue of Liberty.
Shooting in the harsh daylight doesn’t always make things easy for a photographer, and though I was hoping for nice weather during my trip (I was a little too fortunate with that), I knew that for the times I would be spent walking around the city and gazing upwards I would want some decent cloud coverage – not something that happened with this little lady, but on this shot I was pleased a cloud of some sort had at least come in to view behind her.
I then heavily processed the shot with various filters from ColorEfex by Nik Software and Perfect Effects by OnOne Software, added a lens flare light to it and voila – Lady Liberty shines and truly stands as a beacon of hope.
