While in Central Park, I took a little time out to sit in the shade and eat an ice cream. All of a sudden I had a group of guys trying to get the attention of the tourists and earn a meagre living by doing a little acrobatic stuff, they were the Afrobats.
I’m used to street performers in London, especially as I have spent a lot of time around Covent Garden, and I usually just ignore them. However, when on holiday and in tourist mode it’s only natural to kick back and be entertained for 10 minutes or so.
They were pretty good – though of course nothing I couldn’t perform myself. Ahem.
