Balconies

I seem to constantly be on the lookout, and on the look up, for nice symmetrical buildings when I’m out and about with the camera, and I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this residential block in Chelsea over the weekend.

In these types of locations, especially in posh areas, I expect to see a concierge running out of the entrance and trying to stop me from taking photos, usually with a ‘how would you like it if people came to your home and took pictures?’ in the same way teachers used to ask Do you put your feet up on the chairs at home with muddy shoes on?’ The answers are ‘I wouldn’t care, it’s a nice block of flats built in the 1930s and is often used for people filming TV shows – the more the merrier’ and ‘yes’.

I did want to shoot a few more things in the area unencumbered though, so just took these brackets hand held and nobody bothered to come and stop me.

    1. Cheers Chris, it took me a long time to do so but love it now. Except when it’s raining. Or too sunny. Then it’s best to look down 🙂
