Friday already, and another week has passed at breakneck speed. London is a vibrant capital city with lots going on. There is a lot of traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian, and it’s all hustle and bustle. It’s nice, therefore to be able to get away from it all and find a nice quiet haven where you can sit and pass a few hours.
This is why I love London rooftops. You get great views over this beautiful city, and a break from the madness which is happening in the streets below. In many ways it makes my feelings for the city more intimate, as if I have a special bond that not many other Londoners have. I’m lucky to live here, and to be able to experience it from such a unique perspective.
Have a great weekend everyone.
What a gorgeous city. I love all the glass and funky building designs. You truly are lucky to live in such a cool area!
Great shot Mike – lights are fantastic and the color of the sky absolutely rocks. You own London.
Amazing capture. I love all the shapes and the detail.
This is a fantastic capture!
Great shot! I’m lovin your cityscapes!
fabulous work, great image – how do you get on all these rooftops though??
Nice shot. I like that one building to the center right of the frame. It looks like a rocket ship 🙂
This shot is stunning, your nice shots are so clear, I’ve recently tried a few long exposure after dark HDR’s but I’m finding when merging them through photomatix that the skies suffer from really bad noise and burnt out spots. Do you have any tips for getting them so clear?
Fantastic dusk photo of this great city. I share your enjoyment of getting up high for dusk cityscapes (and coffee!) you’ve managed to get into some great locations… great work!
